About the role
As an Undergraduate Intern at Sagent Behavioral Health, you will play a vital role in supporting clients on their journey towards mental health stability and independence. You will work with a small number of clients, providing tailored mental health support in their homes and communities.
Responsibilities
- Provide culturally responsive mental health skills to clients and/or their families in the home, community.
- Collaborate on designing effective treatment plans for clients.
- Document mental health sessions accurately, maintaining organized patient electronic health records in compliance with state legislation.
- Attend staff and team meetings, contributing to collaborative client care and program development efforts.
- Attend regular supervision with your internship supervisor.
Requirements
- Be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university undergraduate program within behavioral health.
- Must receive internship credit through your school/program or be completing formal practicum or internship through your school/program.
- Ideal candidates will have had previous experience working with individuals who have a mental illness, substance use disorder, traumatic brain injury, or development disabilities.
- Must have access to a personal vehicle to use during the internship.
- Must have completed 30 semester credit hours or 40 quarter credit hours prior to starting your internship.

Pay
Total earnings for this position will start at $18.00 hourly. Actual compensation may be determined by various factors such as licensure, experience, skillset, internal equity, schedule and/or location. Estimates are factored on a 1.0 FTE. Employees in these positions are W2.
Schedule
Length of internship is 6 months but can be extended.
