Undergrad Intern - Operations - New Albany, OH (Summer 2027)

About the role

Amgen’s Undergrad Intern – Operations (Summer 2027) is a 13-week program blending project-based work with experiential learning. You will receive professional development through training sessions, one-on-one mentoring, and networking events while contributing to cross-functional initiatives that support Amgen’s new advanced technology assembly and packaging site in Ohio. The program culminates in an intern-wide poster session and a final executive readout.

Responsibilities

• Develop project charters outlining objectives, stakeholders, timelines, and deliverables.
• Apply analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills to identify problems, measure current state, and develop recommendations through qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Collaborate across functions to deliver data-driven insights and present findings to senior leadership.
• Network with colleagues across the company and participate in Amgen’s Employee Resource Groups.

Requirements

• Expected completion of at least one year of study from an accredited college or university prior to the internship start.
• Expected continued enrollment in an accredited college or university following the internship.
• Must be located in the United States for the duration of the internship.
• Must be available to work full-time and commit to future full-time employment by July 2028, if offered.

Qualifications

• Basic: 18 years or older; currently enrolled in a full-time Bachelor’s degree program from an accredited college or university with a minimum 3.0 GPA or equivalent.
• Preferred:
  • Degree concentration in Engineering (Chemical, Industrial, Mechanical, Biomedical/Bioengineering, Computer), Life Sciences (Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology), Chemistry, Biotechnology, Applied Mathematics, Data Science/Data Analytics, Supply Chain Management/Operations, Computer Science, or Information Systems/Technology.
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • VBA for Excel and SQL knowledge.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, project management, problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills.
  • Demonstrated personal initiative, self-motivation, flexibility, and adaptability.
  • Proven leadership experience on campus (e.g., projects, clubs, organizations, sports).

Pay

The base pay range for this opportunity in the U.S. is $28.87 per hour.
