Unarmed Site Security Officer (Manufacturing)

About The Role

From first light to shift change, you’ll be the steady presence that keeps our manufacturing campus running safely and smoothly. As an Unarmed Site Security Officer, you’ll control access, monitor activity, and respond with calm precision whenever the unexpected happens.

Schedule and Term

• Regular hours: 7:00pm – 7:00am
• Temporary assignment: approximately 4–6 months
• Mandatory overtime may occur based on business needs in a team-based manufacturing environment to maintain safe staffing; this can extend beyond scheduled shifts or require additional hours outside the normal schedule.
• Consistent, on-time attendance is essential for team safety and your success.

What You’ll Do

• Control entry so only authorized people and vehicles access the facility.
• Log required details for entries and deliveries with accuracy.
• Explain company rules to contractors and document their agreement to follow them.
• Stay alert and attentive at your post; detect and act on anything unusual.
• Apply procedures that deter theft of company and personal property.
• Enforce parking lot safety policies.
• Respond promptly, calmly, and effectively to plant emergencies.
• Adhere to company security guidelines at all times.
• Operate and route calls through the phone system.
• Keep your area clean and organized in alignment with 6S standards.
• Recognize quality issues and meet established productivity benchmarks.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Current Tennessee Unarmed Security Guard license in good standing, with the ability to complete annual TN Unarmed Security training.
• Prior experience in site security.
• Comfort with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to pass required screenings (background check, pre-employment physical, drug screen).

Regulatory and Compliance Statements

• Education and/or Work Experience Requirements:
• High school diploma or GED.
• Currently licensed as an Unarmed Security Guard in good standing by the state of Tennessee.
• Ability to successfully complete TN Unarmed Security training annually.

Position Description

• Must successfully complete TBI/Criminal Background Check, pre-employment physical exam, and drug screen.
• Previous experience in site security.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, squat, bend, twist and turn as needed to perform the job.
• Ability to climb ladders and stairs multiple times throughout the shift.
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
• Ability to wear required safety equipment.
