Unarmed Security Officer in Plymouth Meeting
About the Role
Physical Security Officers (PSOs) represent the front line of our security services, working in demanding and fast-paced environments such as medical centers, government facilities, hospitality venues, and public events. The mission is to protect all people, information, and property assigned while delivering high-end customer service.
Responsibilities
- Monitor the camera system and implement scan point tours of the property to track patrols and report issues.
- Report signs of forced entry, safety issues, and any abnormal activity through the tour system.
- Ensure all guests and vendors sign in when entering the property; greet and acknowledge residents, guests, and vendors.
- Deliver high-end customer service and respond to emergencies.
- Deter and prevent crime, perform ingress/egress control procedures, and investigate incidents.
- De-escalate conflicts, detain suspects, and perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Two years of face-to-face customer service experience.
- Two years of security experience.
- Basic computer skills (Email, Microsoft Office, etc.).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient time management and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to obtain a state-required security officer license.
- Ability to obtain OCAT, PATH, and PPBT certifications.
- Must pass a comprehensive background investigation, urinalysis screening, and OPS training requirements.
Physical and Mental Requirements
- Ability to work under stress/pressure.
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Ability to wear a uniform.
