Unarmed Security Officer

About the role

Today, we service hundreds of locations nationally, provide security coverage to millions of square feet of public and private facilities, and are one of the top 10 largest security companies in the United States. This is an unarmed security officer position at a location in Tappahannock, Virginia, working overnight shifts from 9pm to 7am on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights.

Responsibilities

• Have complete knowledge of the property, including facilities, post orders, emergency contact lists, emergency procedures, special instructions, and all post duties
• Assure proper use and maintenance of all equipment used at the site by assigned officers (keys/key cards, cell phones, radios, wands, etc.)
• Write reports and sign-in sheets to ensure clarity, completeness, accuracy, and legibility
• Review Post orders periodically and report any major disciplinary problems or complaints of discrimination, sexual harassment, or unfair labor practices to Senior Management immediately
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age
• Have a high school diploma or GED
• Possess exceptional customer service skills
• Be able to multitask
• Must have reliable transportation
• Be able to work outside in all weather conditions
• Be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
