Ultrasound Technologist PRN

About the Role

As an Ultrasound Technologist, you will be part of our friendly and compassionate Ultrasound team at St. Mark's Hospital, part of HCA Healthcare. You will perform a variety of ultrasound procedures, ensuring exam protocols provide diagnostic information to the interpreting physician. This role requires a working knowledge of life-saving techniques and the ability to perform well under pressure. You will also be responsible for introducing the basics of ultrasound to student technologists and assessing and treating patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of ultrasound procedures following exam protocols.
• Provide diagnostic information to interpreting physicians.
• Apply life-saving techniques and perform under pressure.
• Introduce basics of ultrasound to student technologists.
• Assess and treat patients of all ages.
• Obtain and interpret information based on patient needs.

Requirements

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
