About the role

The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound exams according to physician orders. They are responsible for exceptional communication and patient care skills, working independently without direct supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Aptitude toward the team philosophy
  • Works independently without direct supervision
  • Basic computer skills
  • Serves as preceptor for imaging procedures
  • Operates all imaging and Doppler/duplex equipment with proper technique
  • Maintains all computer and documentation competencies

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Current ARDMS Certification in Ultrasound (required within 24 months of obtaining position)

Qualifications

  • Exceptional communication and patient care skills
  • Ability to work independently without direct supervision
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of sterile procedures
  • Ability to provide correct patient identification, technique, education, instruction, and transportation
  • Experience operating all imaging and Doppler/duplex equipment with proper technique
  • Ability to meet all computer and documentation competencies
