Ultrasound Technologist - PRN

About the Role

This position involves operating ultrasound imaging equipment to perform diagnostic procedures that support physician assessments and treatments.

Responsibilities

• Perform imaging procedures following established safety and technical standards.
• Judge appropriate technical settings and develop treatment plans.
• Implement protocols, document procedures, and maintain equipment and work areas.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and collect performance data.
• Complete assigned goals and perform additional duties as needed.

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited sonography program.
• Preferred ARDMS, ARRT, or CCI certification.
• Strong understanding of imaging principles, techniques, and patient positioning.
• Ability to follow instructions, plan work, and organize procedures efficiently.
• Licensure requirements include registration and BLS certification; new graduates are expected to obtain certification within specified timeframes.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

The role involves continuous standing, walking, and physical activity such as lifting and pushing objects up to 50 lbs., with occasional climbing and bending. Sensory acuity and environmental precautions for pathogens and chemicals are essential.
