About the role
Performs ultrasound procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment, working independently and as a clinical and technical resource.
Responsibilities
- Conducts ultrasound imaging following safety and radiological standards.
- Verifies procedures and provides patient instructions.
- Maintains ultrasound equipment and collaborates with healthcare teams.
- Trains students and technologists in ultrasound techniques.
- Manages supplies and ensures a clean, safe work environment.
Requirements
- Associate degree in Radiology or a related field.
- ARDMS registration.
- Four years of ultrasound experience.
- BLS certification.
Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge of radiologic procedures and radiation safety.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and train others.
Physical & Safety Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, and lift 30-35 lbs.
- Manual dexterity and effective observation and communication skills.
- Exposure to bodily fluids and communicable diseases.
Pay
Pay range is $48.60 - $61.96 per hour.
