Ultrasound Technologist - Per Diem

About the Role

This senior-level position involves performing ultrasound procedures to assist in patient diagnosis and treatment. The role requires operating ultrasound technology to capture internal body images, adhering to radiological standards, ensuring patient safety, and leading and training entry-level staff.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct ultrasound exams and verify patient information
  • Provide clear instructions to patients and maintain their safety
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment and supplies
  • Participate in ongoing education and training
  • Collaborate with other departments to deliver quality care
  • Train students and staff on ultrasound procedures
  • Perform quality control checks
  • Maintain a clean and functional work environment

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Radiology or a related field
  • ARDMS registration
  • Four years of ultrasound experience
  • BLS certification

Skills

  • Knowledge of radiologic procedures and radiation safety
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Excellent customer service and training abilities

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent standing and walking
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Manual dexterity and good sensory acuity
