Ultrasound Technologist II - RVT - WCMC Ultrasound- WC Behring Pavilion - Per Diem - 8 Hour - Variable Shift

About the role

Prepares patients for procedures, assumes responsibility for patient needs during procedures. Performs procedures with accuracy and thoroughness in a timely manner, adhering to the protocols outlined in the department's procedure manual upon the order of a licensed independent practitioner for diagnostic interpretation by a radiologist.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for sonography procedures
• Assume responsibility for patient needs during procedures
• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures with accuracy and thoroughness
• Adhere to department protocols and procedures

Requirements

• Completion of a Sonography Program (preferred)
• 3+ years of experience as a registered sonographer (preferred)
• Currently credentialed with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
• Current RDMS license with subspecialty registries in Abdomen and OB/GYN
• Current RVT license (highly preferred before hire)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification – American Heart Association (required)

Certifications/Licensures

• BR Breast Certification – ARDMS (required at sites performing diagnostic mammography; must be obtained within 90 days of hire if performing diagnostic breast ultrasound)
• OB/GYN – ARDMS (must be obtained within 90 days of hire)
• RVT (Registered Vascular Technologist) – ARDMS (must be obtained within 90 days of hire, except for new graduates who have 14 months; one 90-day extension may be granted at the discretion of the Medical Imaging Director for extenuating circumstances)

Schedule

• Per diem position (no waiver)
• Ability to work night shift, PM, and days
• Strong weekend availability required
• Ability to assist with call when needed

Pay

Hourly pay range: $83.24 - $124.85. Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure. Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.
