About the role
Focus Staff is seeking a travel Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week contract starting September 21, 2026 in Bakersfield, California.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the supervision of a physician
- Assist physicians during procedures as needed
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the examination
- Document findings accurately and efficiently
- Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a Ultrasound Tech setting
- Valid CA License
- BLS Certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
Skills
- Proficient in ultrasound equipment operation
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
