Job Summary

The Ultrasonographer Echo (Specialty) position is based in Morgantown, West Virginia. This role involves performing pediatric echocardiography studies with a focus on fetal and pediatric cardiac imaging. The position requires a patient-focused professional capable of managing a high volume of scans in a hospital setting, supporting the clinical team with accurate and timely imaging.

Required Qualifications

  • Valid ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) certification

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

  • Pediatric Echocardiography (RDCS-PE) verification

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, from an accredited program

  • Licence to submit in the state of West Virginia

Preferred Qualifications

  • Fetal echo experience is highly preferred

Specific Responsibilities

  • Performing fetal and pediatric echocardiograms

  • Working with inpatient imaging

  • Operating GE, Philips, and Siemens ultrasound equipment, specifically Philips EPIQ7

Department Equipment and Systems

  • Use of EPIC electronic medical record system and PACS for image storage and communication

Additional Information

  • Involvement in acute clinical settings

  • Collaborative effort with the pediatric echo lead tech

  • Adherence to departmental protocols

  • No IV starts required

  • Orientation will be conducted via phone, email, or onsite as needed

  • Scrubs are not provided but may be worn from existing wardrobe

Travel and Submission Notes

  • Only one submission per candidate at a time within the WVU system

  • Candidates with prior employment or travel history must meet specified time gaps

  • References, clinical experience, and a clean history are essential for successful submission

Pay Package

The pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
