About the role

We are seeking a full-time Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in Arlington Heights. This onsite position offers varied hours between 6:30 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Document patient's medical history prior to any examination
  • Sterilize and maintain ultrasound equipment
  • Gain patient cooperation by calming anxieties, providing explanation of imaging process, and addressing any questions or concerns
  • Carefully position patients to obtain correct imaging
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout their experience
  • Maintain cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies
  • Use sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures
  • Document ultrasound services by accurately recording data in the patient's chart
  • Effectively communicate medical data, patient history, and related information to staff and physicians
  • Provide education, training, and direction to new technologists
  • Perform all ultrasound imaging procedures according to department standards in a timely and efficient manner
  • Perform all other duties as assigned
  • Frequent lifting/movement of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance
  • Stand, stoop, lift, and walk without restrictions

Requirements

  • ARDMS and/or RVT registered with prior clinical ultrasound experience
  • Proficiency running advanced ultrasound studies independently
  • Proficient in Abdomen/Small Parts, OB/GYN, Vascular
  • Experience in Breast ultrasound
  • CPR-BLS Certification
