About the role
We are seeking a full-time Ultrasound Technologist to join our team in Arlington Heights. This onsite position offers varied hours between 6:30 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Document patient's medical history prior to any examination
- Sterilize and maintain ultrasound equipment
- Gain patient cooperation by calming anxieties, providing explanation of imaging process, and addressing any questions or concerns
- Carefully position patients to obtain correct imaging
- Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout their experience
- Maintain cleanliness of rooms and adequate stock of supplies
- Use sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures
- Document ultrasound services by accurately recording data in the patient's chart
- Effectively communicate medical data, patient history, and related information to staff and physicians
- Provide education, training, and direction to new technologists
- Perform all ultrasound imaging procedures according to department standards in a timely and efficient manner
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- Frequent lifting/movement of objects weighing up to 50 lbs. without assistance
- Stand, stoop, lift, and walk without restrictions
Requirements
- ARDMS and/or RVT registered with prior clinical ultrasound experience
- Proficiency running advanced ultrasound studies independently
- Proficient in Abdomen/Small Parts, OB/GYN, Vascular
- Experience in Breast ultrasound
- CPR-BLS Certification
