About the role
The Ultrasonographer provides diagnostic patient care using ultrasound across all age groups, performing examinations on breast, abdominal, obstetrical, gynecological, and other areas. They assist with ultrasound-guided procedures, perform and communicate examination results, and ensure quality care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct diagnostic ultrasounds and assist in procedures involving ultrasound technology
- Communicate findings effectively to healthcare teams and patients
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure equipment is properly used and maintained
Requirements
- Completion of an Ultrasound training program and eligibility for ARDMS registry exam
- Current BLS certification; certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography within a year
- Experience relevant to ultrasound procedures, with preferred breast ultrasound experience
