Job Description We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasound Technologist to join a patient-centered healthcare organization. This is a full-time, on-site opportunity for a professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services in a collaborative clinical environment. The Ultrasound Technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations in accordance with established protocols and safety standards. The role involves preparing patients for procedures, operating ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images, and ensuring accurate documentation of findings within the electronic health record. The technologist will collaborate closely with physicians and other clinical staff to support accurate diagnoses, explain procedures to patients in a clear and reassuring manner, and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Additional responsibilities include monitoring equipment performance, troubleshooting minor technical issues, participating in quality assurance activities, and staying current with advancements in ultrasound technology and imaging best practices. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations following established protocols and safety guidelines.Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures and provide clear explanations to ensure patient comfort.Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.Document examination findings accurately in electronic health records.Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to support effective patient diagnosis and care.Maintain patient confidentiality and follow all healthcare privacy regulations.Monitor ultrasound equipment performance and report technical issues when needed.Participate in quality assurance initiatives and maintain compliance with imaging standards.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe imaging environment.Stay current with developments in ultrasound practices and continuing education opportunities. Qualifications Certification & Credentials American Registry for Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and/or American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) certification.Relevant specialty certifications preferred. Clinical Knowledge Strong understanding of medical imaging principles, radiology concepts, and patient care practices.Knowledge of diagnostic ultrasound procedures and protocols. Specialized Ultrasound Skills Experience performing vascular ultrasound and other relevant sonography modalities.Proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and obtaining diagnostic-quality images. Education & Experience Completion of an accredited sonography or radiologic technology program.Prior clinical experience in a hospital, outpatient clinic, or imaging department preferred. Technical & Safety Skills Ability to follow imaging protocols and safety standards.Strong technical skills with ultrasound equipment operation and troubleshooting. Communication & Patient Care Excellent communication skills with patients, physicians, and clinical staff.Ability to provide compassionate, patient-focused care.Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality.
