Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality ultrasound procedures in strict accordance with department policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist radiologists with ultrasound-guided biopsies and procedures as needed.
- Understand ultrasound data generation methods, instrument theory, and operation for clinical examinations.
- Monitor patient well-being during exams; recognize discomfort or medical issues and take appropriate action.
- Safeguard patient property and Protected Health Information (PHI) in compliance with policies and legal requirements.
- Secure on-site medications according to company policies and legal standards.
- Demonstrate respect for company property, including cash and patient financial information.
- Maintain professional behavior toward patients, coworkers, and the public, respecting boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
- Interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, families, and the public in a clinical setting.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Requirements
- Completion of an Ultrasound Technologist program with a diploma.
- Passed SPI exam.
- Current ARDMS certifications or ARDMS Registry Eligible (preferred).
- BLS certification.
- Passion for patient care, sound judgment, and professionalism in all situations.
- Effective communication, interpersonal skills, and respect for patients, guests, and colleagues.
- Structured work approach with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
