Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all technical aspects of the exam.
  • Must be able to independently operate ultrasound equipment to produce and process images.
  • Must be familiar with emergency equipment and supplies within the department and respond/document/report emergencies.
  • Maintain clean work area and adhere to infection control standards.
  • Organize work schedule on a daily basis, assist in maintaining inventory and order supplies as needed.
  • Communicate with reception staff to minimize waiting to ensure patient satisfaction.
  • Collaborate, cooperate and communicate with other healthcare providers to ensure quality and continuity of care.
  • Report equipment malfunctions to Director.
  • Initiate/document service calls for equipment.
  • Supervise and document quality control and assurance.
  • Transport patients as needed.
  • Provide on-call coverage and/or work various shifts as assigned to meet department needs.

Qualifications

  • Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited program in Sonography.
  • Registered or registry eligible in the fields of Abdomen, Physics or Cardiac sonography.
  • Maintains CEU credits.

The position is 25 hours per week with some on-call requirements.

Pay Range: $46.00 - $68.35
