Ultrasound Tech Lead

About the Role

Under the oversight of the Manager and/or Director of Imaging Services, the Lead Ultrasound Technologist provides patient care services using ultrasound equipment and is responsible for performing general ultrasound exams, vascular ultrasound exams, and ultrasound-guided procedures in compliance with regulatory requirements. The Lead Ultrasound Technologist assists in daily operational activities and workflow, serves as the primary point of contact for resolving issues and answering questions, and acts as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the modality.

Responsibilities

• Perform general ultrasound exams, vascular ultrasound exams, and ultrasound-guided procedures.
• Provide assistance to other technologists and resolve issues or answer questions.
• Support daily operational activities and workflow within the Imaging Services department.
• Ensure exams are performed to the standards outlined by the hospital’s protocols.
• Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
• Work flexible schedules and take calls as needed.

Requirements

• RDMS in (AB) or (OB/GYN) via ARDMS and RVT in (VT) via ARDMS or RVS via CCI.
• Current BLS provider card.
• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Minimum five (5) years of recent experience as an Ultrasound Technologist; hospital experience preferred.
• Proficiency in all general ultrasound exams, vascular ultrasound exams, and ultrasound-guided procedures.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Pay

Opening pay range: $49.90 to $79.84 per hour.
