About the role
The Ultrasound Tech performs diagnostic Ultrasound examinations for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician. Direct patient responsibility for geriatric, adult, adolescent, pediatric, and neonatal patient care until the patient is returned to his/her room or until outpatient is discharged. Performs daily routine of Sonography procedures and staffing including “On-Call”.
Qualifications
- Graduation from accredited program in Ultrasound Technology (minimum requirement).
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Ultrasound Technology (preferred).
- Thorough knowledge of Ultrasound in all forms of diagnostic technology, terminology, practice, procedure, physiology, and human anatomy.
Requirements
- ARDMS certification in one or more of the following: Abdomen and/or OB.
- Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification.

West Boca Medical Center (WBMC) is part of the Palm Beach Health Network and has been serving southern Palm Beach and northern Broward counties for over 37 years. WBMC offers general medical and surgical care, orthopedics, a robotic surgery program, a state-of-the-art breast imaging center, women's and children's services, and the only level III NICU in southern Palm Beach County. Its two emergency centers, one at the main hospital and the other in Coconut Creek, are open 24-hours a day.
