Get to know your team: Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the-art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the delivery of personalized, professional and quality patient care
- Provide internal and external customer service
- Perform all Ultrasound examinations
- Transport patients to and from Imaging Services
- Prepare all departmental paperwork
- Answer the department’s telephone
- Schedule patients
- Enter and retrieve patient information from the Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) and Hospital Information System (HIS)
- Maintain the work area in a clean and organized manner
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of Ultrasonography
- Registered or registry eligible by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or an equivalent, with successful completion of certification within 6 months of hire
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care
- Preferred: Previous employment as an Ultrasound Technologist
- Preferred: Breast experience
