Overview

Job Summary
Anyone traveling more than 60 miles one way to Holy Cross is eligible for a travel stipend of $60 per day. Under minimal supervision, performs basic diagnostic ultrasound procedures, as requested by a licensed physician. Exercises professional judgment in providing health care services, to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly. May be multi-credentialed in the area of sonography.
Responsibilities
- Produces high quality diagnostic sonographs as prescribed by a licensed practitioner
- Assists with amnio procedure biopsies
- Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period
- Processes and files films as needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Minimum Requirements:
- Experience: None specified
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Diagnostic Sonography
- Certifications: Must be registered within 24 months of graduation(and 12 months of hire); BLS
- Preferred Requirements:
- Experience: 1-3 years
- Education: Associates degree
- Certifications: ARDMS or ARRT(S)
