Ultrasound Supervisor

About the role

1.0 FTE position with day/evening and weekend shifts. Starting pay ranges from $44.34 to $66.51 per hour, with offers for external candidates generally made between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the work of ultrasound personnel engaged in performing routine and specialized imaging procedures including planning ultrasound work, evaluating work performed, and handling procedural and technical problems
• Assists in development and implementation of quality control programs to ensure reliability of testing procedures, proper functioning of ultrasound equipment, and compliance with federal regulations; prepares and maintains applicable records
• Coordinates and is responsible for the ACR accreditation for ultrasound
• Designs appropriate work schedules for subordinate employees and plans daily work assignments in order to maintain an adequate personnel complement for ultrasound efficiency
• Supervises various personnel functions including, but not limited to, interviewing, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers, and vacation schedules
• Develops process to maintain sufficient inventory of material supplies and equipment for performance of duties
• Moderates amount of lifting and positioning patients and equipment
• Ability to frequently lift objects heavier than 100 pounds
• Performs difficult manipulative skills
• Concentrates on fine details with constant interruption
• Attends to tasks for 45 to 60 minutes at a time
• Understands and relates to the concepts behind specific ideas
• Must multi-task
• Strong verbal skills required
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Satisfactory completion of an accrediting Diagnostic Sonography Program
• Certification by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography
• Five years' experience in ultrasound
• Supervisor or lead experience preferred
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
• Ability to recognize subtle differences between healthy and pathological areas
• BLS certification
• HeartCode BLS certification required

First (Day) shift. On-site position. Full time.

Pay

$44.34 to $66.51 per hour based on experience. Offers for external candidates are generally made between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
