Ultrasound Student Tech

Responsibilities

• Performs radiographic procedures under the direction of the Chief Technologist/Shift Supervisor and Radiologists.
• Operates and monitors radiographic equipment for proper functioning, reporting malfunctions promptly.
• Uses safety devices to ensure radiation safety.
• Performs computer and clerical functions related to radiology requests.
• Stocks and maintains radiographic exam rooms.
• Utilizes appropriate nursing procedure techniques to provide care and safety for patients.

Qualifications

• Two semesters of school experience from an accredited Radiology program, verified with the program director.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association, or CPR issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 30 days of hire.
• Effective communication skills in English (verbal and written).
