Position Details
- Shift work; 9 hours at Bloomington Hospital or 12 hours at smaller area hospitals including Bedford, Paoli and Morgan hospitals
- Schedule: Shifts vary month to month; typically 130 hours per month; days, evenings, nights
- Community based care with high acuity
- Procedures performed include endotracheal intubation, chest tube placement, central line placement, and cardioversion
- EM Residency Program coming soon! Academic opportunities will be available with this role for those fellowship trained in Ultrasound.
Qualifications
- BE/BC in Emergency Medicine required
- Fellowship Trained in Ultrasound required
- 2024 Residents/Fellows and practicing physicians encouraged to apply

Healthcare System/Hospital Description
- The new IU Health Bloomington Hospital and Regional Academic Health Center, part of the Indiana University Health Medical Group, opened in December 2021.
- The facility offers a personalized approach to inpatient services (including intensive care, complex surgeries and comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology services), outpatient services with leading-edge diagnostic testing, flexible space in the emergency department for post-care observation, a dedicated trauma center and a cancer infusion center.
- At the same time, the facility strengthens healthcare education by providing space for collaboration and coordination of care and teaching. Students and trainees frequently come to the hospital side of the facility for clinical experiences.
