Ukrainian Interpreter

About the role

We are seeking hard-working, fully-bilingual foreign language interpreters to provide in-person interpretation for our local Nebraska clients. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to use their cultural knowledge to help non-English speakers in their community. We have an immediate need for Ukrainian interpreters in the Omaha area.

Responsibilities

• Provide in-person interpretation for medical and other appointments
• Maintain strict confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
• Use online portal to print and upload vouchers

Requirements

• Fully bilingual
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Must have transportation to attend local appointments
• Access to a printer
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred
• Pass background checks and drug screens
• Provide proof of vaccination or exemption documentation (medical or religious exemptions considered)

Schedule

PRN (as needed), part-time (or less depending on languages spoken). Flexible based on interpreter's availability and preferences, but applicants must have some availability Monday–Friday, 7 AM–5 PM, as this is when services are typically needed.

This is an independent contractor position with flexible hours. Hours are not guaranteed and are based on availability, languages spoken, and client needs.
