About the role
This position is located in USA VA Arlington, hybrid working model acceptable. Active TS/SCI required, active TS/SCI with Poly highly desired.
Responsibilities
- Conducting user research, usability testing, and competitive analysis to understand user needs and behaviors.
- Creating wireframes, mockups, and prototypes of user interfaces, ensuring they are intuitive and aligned with user expectations.
- Evaluating the usability of designs through testing and feedback, identifying areas for improvement.
- Working closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to implement and refine designs.
- Applying human factors principles (e.g., cognitive load, perception, motor skills) to design systems that are safe, efficient, and comfortable for users.
- Documenting design decisions, research findings, and usability test results.
Requirements
- Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree and/or 0 to 2 years of experience
- User Research: Experience with various research methods, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
- Human Factors: Knowledge of human capabilities, limitations, and cognitive processes.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to collaborate effectively and present findings.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and solve usability issues and propose creative solutions.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with design tools (e.g., PenPot, Adobe Creative Cloud) and basic coding skills.
Qualifications
- Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI required, active TS/SCI with Poly highly desired.
Skills
