Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expertise and analytical support for requirements definition, process improvement initiatives, and specialized studies.
- Lead the analysis, planning, and development of technical deliverables, including requirements documentation, functional models, architectures, and standard operating procedures.
- Design and develop front-end solutions, including user interfaces and interactive components, ensuring usability, accessibility, and alignment with stakeholder requirements.
- Create and maintain technical design artifacts such as wireframes, mockups, UI specifications, and other documentation to support JCC2 PMO reviews and decision-making.
- Implement and optimize GUI enhancements, navigation structures, and user experience elements to improve operator efficiency and overall system usability.
- Develop, test, and maintain reusable, standards-compliant code to ensure cross-browser compatibility and scalable front-end performance.
- Collaborate with development teams to conduct code reviews, ensure quality assurance, and promote adherence to established standards and best practices.
- Research, evaluate, and recommend emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies to enhance front-end development capabilities and team performance.
Requirements
- Active DoD TS clearance
- 7+ years of frontend or software development experience, with a focus on building user interfaces and interactive web applications
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Vue, or similar)
- Experience developing responsive, accessible, and user-centric UI/UX solutions
- Demonstrated experience creating wireframes, mockups, UI specifications, and design artifacts
- Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams on UI/UX and application development
- 3+ years of experience using tools such as Jira for bug tracking and testing web-based applications
- Experience conducting front-end testing, validation, and performance optimization (cross-browser compatibility, usability, etc.)
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab) and deploying applications in cloud environments
- Experience contributing to technical documentation, requirements definition, and system design discussions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in related field required + 7 years’ experience OR Master’s degree in related field + 5 years’ experience
Skills
- Experience using Agile Test-Driven development
- Experience integrating into DoD DevSecOps environments
- Demonstrated experience in utilizing UX design tool suites (e.g., Sketch, InVision)
- Experience with CI/CD software development
