UI/UX Designer
What you’ll work on
XTrace is building memory infrastructure for AI. This includes designing interfaces for AI agents to use, share, and reason over persistent memory, not just chat history or notes. You will focus on how context appears before a prompt, user understanding of AI knowledge, memory creation, merging, and removal, and how multiple AI tools feel like one cohesive system.
What you’ll do
- Design core product flows (not just screens)
- Translate abstract concepts like “memory,” “beliefs,” and “context” into practical applications
- Collaborate closely with engineering to rapidly develop and iterate
- Simplify complex systems into clear, intuitive interactions
- Own the entire product experience, from web app to browser extension
What we’re looking for
- Strong product sense — identifying what’s essential and what’s not
- Ability to design from first principles rather than copying existing patterns
- Comfortable working in ambiguous situations
- Fast execution — turning ideas into shipped UI quickly
- Clean visual taste — preferring simplicity over decoration
Nice To Have
- Experience with development tools, AI products, or data-heavy interfaces
- Frontend skills (React, Tailwind, etc.)
What makes this role different
You are not refining a completed product; you are creating it from scratch. The concepts are novel, requiring you to invent interaction patterns. Working in a small, high-ownership team with minimal layers, you have the freedom to shape the future of AI memory infrastructure.
Why XTrace AI tools are everywhere now
Every time you switch between AI tools, you lose context and continuity. XTrace aims to address this by building a layer that remembers and shares information across different AI platforms.
How to apply
Send your portfolio (real work, not just Dribbble shots) along with a short note on something you’ve designed that you’re proud of. If you are interested in the position, please send your CV and any required materials to careers@xtrace.ai.
