UI/UX Designer

Founded in 2019, Swift supports Civilian, Defense, and Intelligence Community customers across the country and around the globe. We are looking for a UI/UX Designer in McLean, VA.

Responsibilities

• Provide user interface/user experience (UI/UX) design, research, and development plans in support of the client’s applications.
• Leverage expertise in UI/UX design principles, human‑centered design, and user research to create intuitive and user‑friendly digital experiences.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in UX Design, Human‑Computer Interaction, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience) or technical area.
• Minimum of five years of experience working with user research methodologies, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing, to inform design decisions and validate user experience.
• Proficiency in UI/UX design tools, such as Sketch, InVision, and Adobe Creative Suite, to create high‑quality design solutions.
• Five years of experience with wireframing and prototyping tools, such as Figma and Axure, to develop and test design concepts.
• Human‑centered design principles and design thinking to create intuitive and user‑friendly digital experiences.
• Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript fundamentals to effectively communicate design requirements to development teams.
• U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph security clearance required.

Desired Experience

• Experience with mobile and web application design, including responsive design principles and mobile‑specific design considerations.
• Familiarity with existing design systems and brand guidelines to ensure alignment with the customer’s overall visual identity.
• Knowledge of emerging trends and technologies in UI/UX design, such as AR/VR and voice UI, to stay ahead of the curve and identify new opportunities.
• Experience with usability testing and user feedback analysis to inform design decisions and iterate on design solutions.

Pay

Pay Range: $49,996.80 – $290,004.00. Pay ranges are a general guideline and not intended as a guaranteed and/or implied final compensation or salary for this job opening. Determination of official compensation or salary relies on several different factors including, but not limited to: level of position, complexity of job responsibilities, geographic location, work experience, education, certifications, Federal Government contract labor categories, and contract wage rates.
