UI/UX Designer

We are seeking an experienced UI/UX Designer to join a collaborative digital product team supporting large-scale digital experiences. This is an ongoing contract opportunity for a designer who excels at both UX strategy and UI execution, enjoys working closely with cross-functional teams, and has a passion for creating intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling user experiences. You'll play a key role in designing responsive digital products, contributing to design systems, and helping deliver solutions that improve the overall user journey.DetailsStart Date: ASAPLocation: Atlanta, GAWork Arrangement: Hybrid (onsite 1 day per week, Fridays)Duration: Contract with potential for full-time conversionHours: 40 hours per weekResponsibilitiesDesign end-to-end digital experiences across desktop and responsive platforms.Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, mockups, and high-fidelity UI designs in Figma.Translate user needs, business objectives, and product requirements into intuitive design solutions.Develop, maintain, and enhance design systems, including components, variables, tokens, and reusable patterns.Partner closely with product owners, developers, scrum masters, content writers, QA teams, and accessibility specialists throughout the product lifecycle.Collaborate with engineering teams using tools such as Storybook and GitHub to support implementation and design consistency.Contribute to UX strategy efforts, helping define user-centered solutions and customer journeys.Ensure designs meet accessibility standards and inclusive design best practices.Participate in agile ceremonies, design critiques, peer reviews, and cross-functional collaboration sessions.Leverage modern AI-powered design tools, including Figma Make and Microsoft Copilot, to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.Support a high-priority initiative focused on component creation and design system expansion.Requirements5+ years of experience in UX/UI Design, Product Design, or a related discipline.Strong understanding of UX strategy, responsive design principles, and user-centered design methodologies.Advanced proficiency in Figma, including wireframing, prototyping, mockups, components, variables, and design system management.Experience building, maintaining, and scaling enterprise-level design systems.Strong visual design skills with an eye for detail, consistency, and usability.Experience collaborating closely with developers and understanding design-to-development workflows.Familiarity with Storybook, GitHub, or similar development collaboration tools.Working knowledge of accessibility standards (ADA/WCAG) and inclusive design practices.Experience working within agile product teams and cross-functional environments.Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to clearly articulate design decisions.Experience utilizing AI-driven design tools such as Figma Make, Microsoft Copilot, or similar solutions.Preferred QualificationsExperience within financial services or other highly regulated industries.Background designing customer-facing or member-facing digital products.Experience scaling design systems across multiple product teams.Familiarity with enterprise product development environments and governance practices.In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
