About the Role
The Fitness Sales Manager ensures a positive customer experience personally and through Coach supervision. They are responsible for delivering great member service along with driving Private Training and Supplement revenue. The role involves addressing member concerns, employee relations, scheduling, time-keeping, and enforcing company policies. The Fitness Sales Manager also oversees the attainment of revenue goals for Private Training and Supplements. This position requires 7-day availability, including mornings and nights.
Responsibilities
- Sell and conduct Private Training and Small Group Training with members.
- Execute prospecting strategies, conduct guest tours, and complete sales through the Turn-Over process.
- Service Intro PT packages, build value, and re-sign clients on full programs to hand off to coaching staff.
- Prospect members in-person and digitally to generate complimentary appointments for personal training programs.
- Ensure accurate administration of client programs, supplement purchases, measurement tracking, and workout programs.
- Arrive on time, prepared, and attentive for training appointments.
- Assist in revenue-generating activities such as complimentary workouts, supplement booths, body fat tables, seminars, and workshops.
- Achieve monthly revenue objectives for Private Training and Supplements.
- Review daily club sales performance and individual employee performance with the Fitness Manager, Vice President, and staff to identify issues and clarify behaviors needed to achieve sales goals.
- Administer company policies related to the sales process.
- Schedule and manage client appointments to ensure optimal time management and service delivery.
- Coordinate directly with clients to arrange sessions, meetings, or service visits based on availability.
- Maintain up-to-date scheduling records and adjust for changes or cancellations.
- Work with the Fitness Manager to ensure coaches are productive and revenue/service goals are met.
- Set monthly, weekly, and daily goals consistent with or above company objectives.
- Conduct meetings with coaches to review performance and operations, offering direction and motivation.
- Handle member service matters, including providing club tours, explaining services, and signing members up for training agreements.
- Mediate member issues and concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- Perform administrative and housekeeping duties as needed.
- Alert operations staff of repairs and maintenance needs in the club.
- Conduct daily facility walk-throughs.
- Supervise coach sales activities, review agreements, and prepare daily paperwork.
- Comply with operational procedures and follow up with compliance checks.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge of personal training techniques from assessment to program design and sales.
- Ability to operate and adjust all fitness equipment.
- Knowledge of company policies, practices, and procedures, including emergency and safety protocols.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Friendly, enthusiastic, and positive attitude.
- Strong customer service focus.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions clearly and concisely.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
- Basic record-keeping skills.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Adherence to meal and rest break periods, and accurate timekeeping.
Qualifications
- Minimum of one certification from an organization recognized by UFC Gym.
- Current CPR/AED certification.
- High school diploma or GED (four-year degree in a related field preferred).
- Minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- Experience in management/employee relations preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand for prolonged periods.
- Physical effort includes lifting heavy weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and prolonged standing/walking.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 45+ lbs.
