UC/PCA - Emergency Department
About the role
The Patient Care Assistant (PCA)/Unit Clerk will meet the communication needs of patients, families, and staff, prepare and compile records, and provide basic nursing care to Emergency Department patients.
Responsibilities
- Maintain regulatory agency requirements, nursing and facility policies and procedures and standards.
- Meets the communication needs of the patient, family and staff.
- Prepares and compiles records in the facility.
- Initiates directions from physician and nursing staff.
- Provides basic nursing care to Emergency Department patients.
Qualifications
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- Current BLS certification or within 30 days of hire date.
- Preferred: STNA Certification or Paramedic or EMS Certification.
