About the role
The UC-35 Citation Army Transport Aircraft Maintenance Supervisor performs organizational level maintenance on assigned aircraft under contract to Amentum. They monitor and maintain documents of all aircraft scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, plan and coordinate all aircraft inspections, dispatch and monitor assigned tasks and associated jobs to work centers, and work closely with the Operations Department to ensure aircraft are available to meet the flight schedule.
Responsibilities
- Prepares daily, weekly, and monthly reports in support of aircraft long range maintenance requirements.
- Maintains Aircraft Logbooks Books (ACN) showing complete as well as outstanding maintenance actions.
- Ensures all required maintenance has been performed before flights and briefs and debriefs pilots as required, assisting in the documentation of aircraft flight time and maintenance discrepancies.
- Complies with all current sections of the DA PAM 738-751 Series as applicable to aircraft maintenance.
- Responsible for mission configuration, working with various Army entities as required.
- Instructs and assists in training of lower-level employees in proper work methods and performance of their job duties.
- Keeps Maintenance Officer always briefed on aircraft status.
- Keeps the COR briefed on all contract requirements.
- Performs related duties as assigned including any and all duties of lower rated technical personnel within their classification.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in associated discipline is highly desired; a minimum of a High School diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- A valid (FAA) A&P certificate is Required.
- Minimum of Five (5) years of UC-35 Cessna Citation hands-on maintenance experience required.
- Experience supervising daily flight operations personnel supporting scheduled and unscheduled maintenance.
- Ability to communicate knowledgeably and effectively at senior management levels.
- Strong leadership skills with ability to manage a large and diverse workforce.
- Planning/organizing skills and skilled in operations, logistics, and resource management.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s license is required.
Skills
- Knowledgeable of DA PAM 738-751 and FAA Federal Aviation Regulations.
- Knowledgeable of and understand basic supply procedures.
- Possess working knowledge of applicable aircraft.
- Experience writing with clarity and technical accuracy.
