Responsibilities
- Trained as an Operator Grade II & III or relevant experience in electronics manufacturing.
- SMT, SMT AOI.
- Assists Electronic Technicians and support staff in production and process tasks.
- Performs basic equipment set-up, ensuring correct parts are in the machine and placements are within specified tolerances.
- Maintains metrics for equipment utilization and other documentation.
- Maintains a sense of urgency while being safety minded and using equipment in a safe manner.
- Ensures quality product is produced.
- Works in a team environment.
- Flexible with work schedule and assignment to meet demand and or schedule.
Required Qualifications/Skills
- Able to read and comprehend instructions.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints and other technical engineering documents.
- Able to effectively present information in one on one and small group situations including customers and other employees.
- Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
- Able to stand, walk, talk and hear.
- Stoop, kneel, & crouch.
- Frequently lift and or move 10 pounds, and occasionally lift and or move 50 pounds.
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, ability to adjust focus.
Required Education And Licensing
- High School diploma or equivalency.
- Three years’ experience in electronics manufacturing preferred.
- Operate Windows & OS2 computers.
- Acquire certification in IPC 610 or equivalent quality standard and demonstrate the ability to perform operations at those standards.
