UAT Tester

About the role

We are seeking a UAT Tester to support data-driven initiatives within a fast-paced financial services environment. This role is ideal for candidates with strong analytical skills, hands-on SQL experience, and an interest in working with financial data and business processes.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business and financial datasets to uncover trends, identify issues, and highlight opportunities for improvement.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries to support reporting, data extraction, and validation activities.
• Partner with stakeholders to gather business requirements, provide analytical insights, and support informed decision-making.
• Design and generate reports, dashboards, and data summaries for business users and executive leadership.
• Perform data quality assessments and investigate data inconsistencies to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business Analytics, Data Analytics, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, Economics, or related field
• 1–2 years of professional experience as a Business Analyst, Data Analyst, or similar analytical role
• Strong SQL skills with experience writing queries, analyzing datasets, and generating reports
• Understanding of financial services, banking, mortgage, or related financial business domains
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into data-driven insights
• Proficiency with Excel and data visualization/reporting tools is preferred

Preferred Skills

• Experience with Python for data analysis or automation
• Exposure to AWS cloud services or cloud-based data environments
• Understanding of Agile or Scrum environments
• Familiarity with ETL processes, dashboards, or BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI
