About the role
The Sensors and Systems Technician position at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is located in Linthicum, Maryland. This position involves performing a variety of tasks including testing, operating, trouble-shooting, calibrating, constructing, repairing, and assembling over a broad spectrum of technologies using both manual and automatic equipment. Tasks also include collecting, recording, analyzing, and evaluating data, and recommending changes in processing operations and equipment as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Performing tests, operating, and troubleshooting complex components, assemblies, devices, circuits, and systems.
- Calibrating and constructing various technologies.
- Repairing and assembling a range of technologies.
- Collecting, recording, analyzing, and evaluating data.
- Recommend changes in processing operations and equipment as appropriate.
Requirements
- Extensive knowledge of electronics principles.
- A high degree of skill in fabrication and testing of complex components, assemblies, devices, circuits, and systems.
- Ability to adapt to changing assignments and requirements.
- Ability to meet 09 solder certification and pass pre-employment skills screening.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED.
- Graduate of a two-year, full-time electronic technology school OR six months military electronics school plus two years working in the maintenance and repair of electro-mechanical equipment.
Skills
- Electronics principles.
- Fabrication and test of complex components, assemblies, devices, circuits, and systems.
- Adaptability to changing assignments and requirements.
- Solder certification.
