About the role
Christian preschool hiring an enthusiastic teacher assistant for two year olds. Schedule: Monday/Wednesday, 8:30 AM–2:30 PM, August through May.
Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with the lead teacher to assist in the classroom
- Ensure physical safety and active supervision of children in the classroom, playground, and during transitions
- Help children with basic hygiene needs, including diapering/toileting routines, handwashing, and lunchtime routines
- Use positive, gentle redirection to help children navigate social interactions
- Help keep classroom and school spaces clean, organized, and sanitized
- Partner with families during drop-off and pick-up, reporting any daily concerns or updates to the teacher
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
- Prior classroom experience
- Demonstrates knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Team-minded approach
Schedule
Monday and Wednesday, 8:30 AM–2:30 PM, August through May.
