Assistant 2 Year Old Teacher

About This Role We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Assistant 2 Year Old Teacher to join our early childhood education team in Woodstock, VA. In this role, you will work alongside the lead teacher to create a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment that fosters the social, emotional, and cognitive growth of our two-year-old students. What You'll Do Assist in implementing age-appropriate daily activities, crafts, and lessons tailored for toddlers.Supervise children closely during classroom learning, outdoor play, and meal times to ensure safety.Support children with potty training, diaper changes, and developing personal hygiene habits.Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary classroom environment in compliance with health standards.Observe and document children's progress, communicating positive milestones and updates to parents. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent qualification.Previous experience working with toddlers or young children in a licensed childcare facility or preschool setting.Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, sit on the floor, and remain active throughout the workday.Current CPR and First Aid certification, or a willingness to obtain it within 30 days of hire.Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and fingerprinting required by Virginia state licensing. Nice To Haves Child Development Associate (CDA) credential or coursework in Early Childhood Education.Familiarity with Virginia childcare licensing regulations and standards.Experience working specifically with the two-year-old milestone curriculum.
