Research Internship: Project Climate Change and Fresh Water Resources in Africa
Duration: 15 weeks (24 January – 6 May 2022)
Project Manager: Shilpa Muliyil Asokan, Senior Researcher, Climate Change and Sustainable Development
Responsibilities:
- Collection and analysis of policy-relevant climate and socio-economic data
- Learning from an interdisciplinary environment
- Gain knowledge on climate change adaptation and resilience building in East and Southern Africa
Requirements:
- Master’s Candidate level
- Organized funding for the internship period (typically through studies at a university or through the Swedish public employment service)
Research Internship: Thematic Area Equality, Social Justice and Inclusion
Duration: 13 weeks (1 February – 30 April 2022)
Project Manager: Diana H. Madsen, Senior Gender Researcher
Responsibilities:
- Build skills in theoretically driven research on gender, political participation and peace and conflict in African contexts
- Gain exposure to research and policy communities in the Nordic and African contexts
- Focus on building skills in theoretically driven research on gender, political participation and peace and conflict in African contexts
- Work on gender equality with a focus on women in politics, representation and a newer focus on violence against women in politics as well as on Resolution 1325 on women, peace and security
