About the role
The Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts seeks an experienced Auditor to conduct financial audits and investigations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct financial audits and investigations to ensure compliance with state laws and regulations.
- Prepare detailed reports on audit findings and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other departments to resolve complex issues related to fiscal management and public policy.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of relevant work experience in auditing or related fields.
- Knowledge of state and federal laws governing government operations and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Access.
