Tutor - Reading Elementary

Position Description

Killingly Central School is seeking a Reading Tutor to provide targeted literacy instruction and intervention for students in Kindergarten and Grade 1. The tutor will work with individual students and small groups to support the development of foundational reading skills, including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. The tutor will collaborate with classroom teachers and the reading specialist to monitor student progress and implement effective instructional strategies.

Schedule

Start Date: October 13, 2026
End Date: May 28, 2027
Hours Per Week: 6-6.5

Qualifications

• CT Certification and preferred experience ($29.00/hour)
• BA Degree with experience ($27.50/hour)
