About the role
Tutor supports the principal and classroom teachers with tutoring services, employing a variety of instructional strategies to facilitate student learning. Compensation is contingent upon the specific academic event being approved by the District to occur during the school year.
- Reports consistently for work as scheduled

- Guides the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals, content standards, and identified achievement gaps
- Provides effective instructional strategies to meet the identified learning needs of assigned students
- Works collaboratively and cooperatively with instructional staff and others in delivering tutorial services

Work Environment
- The noise level in the work environment may alternate among quiet, moderate, and loud

Physical Demands
- Sits, stands, walks, stoops, kneels, and crouches/squats while performing duties
- Has oral and auditory capacity enabling interaction interpersonally and/or through communication devices
- Uses eyes, hands, and finger coordination enabling the use of equipment and writing utensils
- Typical demands require staff to lift and carry up to 20 pounds (may be higher for some assignments depending on position and student need)
- May need to climb stairs, ladders, and/or stools; reach, hold, grasp and turn objects
- Uses fingers to operate computer keyboards
- Feels the shape, size, and temperature of objects

Qualifications
- High school graduate (high school diploma or equivalent) – required
Pay
- Scheduled weekly hours: 37.5
- Hours per day: 7.5
- Number of days per year: 171 (Monday–Friday)
