Tutor - Math (Ogden Math Tutoring Center)

Position Summary

Looking for math tutors provide academic support to students in a variety of math subjects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics and a passion for helping students succeed. Becoming a math tutor will require and provide additional training.

Required Qualifications

• Must be a WSU student
• Completed Calculus I with a B+ or better, or equivalent course
• Maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 in mathematics subjects, as well as a cumulative 3.0 GPA
• A strong working knowledge of the subject matter you will be tutoring
• Good listening, communication, and interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior tutoring or teaching experience is preferred

• Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned (i.e., custodial, food services, or to make general observations of facilities or structures (i.e., security guard, inspection).
