Tutor - K-8, All Subjects - Part-Time, In-Person
About the role

Responsibilities
- Provide in-home academic support and homework help for elementary and middle school students in math, language arts, science, social studies, and other subjects.
- Engage and energize students while instructing them.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and employees.
- Create a positive, safe learning environment.
- Help students achieve their academic goals.
Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of teaching and/or tutoring experience.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong academic background, preference for classroom teachers/paraprofessionals.
- Confidence in teaching reading, writing, and math skills covered in elementary and middle grades.
- Reliable car access to travel to students' homes.

- Have dedicated support from a manager and a mentor.
- Be free to continue with private tutoring or tutoring with other organizations in addition to working with our students.
- Have typical hours that generally fall outside of school hours and on weekends.
- Be able to cover some of the towns listed for in-home tutoring.

Typical pay is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Your availability should include 6 or more hours per week and should be primarily be in the following time blocks:
- Monday-Friday: 3pm-9pm
- Saturday/Sunday: 9am-9pm
