Tutor - K-8, All Subjects - Part-Time, In-Person

About the role

Responsibilities

• Provide in-home academic support and homework help for elementary and middle school students for math, language arts, science, social studies, and other subjects.
• Engaging and energetic while instructing students.
• Responsive and communicate effectively with students, parents, and employees.
• Highly organized and adaptable to the needs of diverse learners.
• Create a positive, safe learning environment.
• Help students achieve their goals.

Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of teaching and/or tutoring experience.
• Bachelor’s degree.
• Strong academic background - preference for classroom teachers/paraprofessionals.
• Confidence teaching the reading, writing, and math skills covered in the elementary and middle grades.
• Reliable car access to travel to students’ homes.

Pay

Typical hours: Prime tutoring hours generally fall outside of school hours and on weekends. Your availability should include 6 or more hours per week and should be primarily be in the following time blocks: Monday-Friday: 3pm-9pm Saturday/Sunday: 9am-9pm

Schedule

Where we Tutor: We tutor in the following towns in your area: Houston, Cypress, Fresno, Friendswood, Humble, Katy, Kingwood, League City, Missouri City, Pasadena, Pearland, Richmond, Spring, Sugar Land, The Woodlands.
