About the Role
The Turkey Farm Supervisor provides leadership to farm employees to reach farm and company goals. They implement and oversee brood and finishing and management programs to allow our turkey farm to produce the maximum number of pounds.
Responsibilities
- Ordering feed
- Setting up finishing and brood barns
- Aiding in maintenance including mowing of grass and snow removal
- Aiding with market load out including collecting animal samples for plant testing
- Responding to farm alarms
- Communicate and promote Holden Farm’s core values and goals to employees
- Managing and providing leadership to up to 4 employees on turkey farm
- Effectively collaborating with Turkey Division General Manager and other Management team members to reach farm and company goals
- Understanding, following, and upholding Holden Farms Biosecurity Programs
- Performing all planning, goal setting, and scheduling for a turkey farm
- Interviewing and assisting in finding new talent
- Participating in onboarding and leading new hire training
- Administering employee performance evaluations
- Encouraging employee development by identifying opportunities for growth within sow farms and company
- Implementing new ideas and changes to obtain desired results
- Updating and maintaining accurate farm records and reports
Requirements
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate others
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to have difficult conversations and achieve desired results
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to lead others in high demand situations
- Ability to lift 50lbs on repetitive basic
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in agriculture or related field preferred
- Knowledge of animal husbandry and biosecurity practices
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays

Pay
Compensation is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Generally - Monday-Friday 7am-4:30pm; times may vary based on business needs. Rotating Weekend and Holiday Schedule Required
