About the role

Fargo Country Club is actively recruiting Agronomy Interns for the 2026 golf season. Our internship development program focuses on on-the-job teaching, in-field training, and professional development.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with our Superintendents to become proficient in daily course preparation, agronomic and cultural practices, irrigation maintenance, chemical/fertilizer calibration and application, water management, equipment setup and maintenance, detailed record keeping/inventory and other tasks as assigned.
  • Cross train in all facets of golf course maintenance and operations, including in-house construction projects with the director of grounds.
  • Attend weekly meetings with the Director of Grounds, Golf Course Superintendent, and other members of our turf team to discuss and understand the decisions we make daily, review all cultural and maintenance practices, examine our pesticide program and why we are applying the products, as well as the importance of communication with the Equipment & Shop Manager when it comes to equipment usage.
  • Learn basic agronomics working with the superintendent and turf team in place, as well as spend time with the director of grounds working on inhouse construction projects.

Schedule

  • Six-day workweek with overtime available (Monday–Friday plus one weekend day)
  • Early morning shifts: 4:45 AM – 12:00 PM
