TUNNEL OPERATOR - PM

Duties And Responsibilities

• Operate a computer system that operates the tunnel washers, shuttle systems to include the theory of operation and issue analysis.
• Maintain clean and safe working conditions: Tunnels, Presses, MLA’s, and Workstation.
• Prepare laundry for processing by performing tasks within areas such as Multi-sort/Trans-Sort, Tunnels/Dryers, Future-rail, and MLA.
• Operate MLA systems for manual entry of soiled laundry when required.
• Open bundles of soiled laundry and push bags as needed to maintain workflow in other production areas.
• Maintain Tunnel Performance (Transfers) according to Crown Linen Standards.
• Report all mechanical issues to Management and Maintenance Department.
• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.

Qualifications

• 1 year of laundry experience, or a combination of computer education and experience.
• Intermediate to advanced computer literacy level.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
• Strong analytical skills to understand production flow requirements.
• Ability to work at a fast pace.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
