Machine Operator
Brief Description
Perform advanced set up, operation, and monitoring of production in a work center and participate in the continuous improvement process to address safety, production, and quality improvements.
Additional tasks consist of assisting with material flow (loading, unloading, lifting, and moving material), and providing guidance to all support personnel as required (laborers, material handlers, packers, etc.).
Set up and maintain manufacturing equipment, operate equipment to fabricate, manufacture, assemble, or move product, conduct in-process quality checks and resolve issues as required, assist with equipment maintenance activities, maintain and monitor machine to ensure it functions properly, develop in-depth understanding of how assigned equipment functions, operate forklift as required to support manufacturing, interpret production work orders and record/report production data including scrap, maintain work area, equipment, and tools in a clean and organized manner, count, record, and report inventory as required including but not limited to sheet, coil and accessory stock, shop supplies, skids, cores, etc., spin down pre-slit coil stock and complete appropriate packaging per specs of each order, load and unload will-call customers, LTL vans and flatbed trucks with forklift (includes palleted coils & sheets, load customer equipment and maintain/log all shipments) as required.
Able to be flexible and respond to the changing needs of the organization, including working overtime as required.

Requirements
- Educational Requirements: A high school diploma or GED preferred; trade school or military experience a plus.
- Experience & Skills: Forklift experience preferred. Must be able to lift or pull a minimum of 50 pounds. Requires solid written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated mechanical aptitude including basic troubleshooting skills. Strong analytical, conceptual, and planning skills required. Excellent math skills and overall PC literacy are required. Must be detail oriented, self-motivated, and disciplined with the ability to multi-task. Team oriented with effective communication skills preferred.
- Background Check: Successfully complete a criminal background check, physical, drug screen and E-verify.
